Probably the "best" information is in journal articles. The original paper which
started it all was "Dynamic Matrix Control - A Computer Control Algorithm".
This paper was presented at the AICHE meeting in Houston Texas, April 1979 by
Charles R. Cutler and B. L. Ramaker. If you have the Science Citation Index,
you can use it to find papers which reference this article.
